• Device data: basic technical info required to operate the site (browser, session).

• Provide the core experience (saving, planning, tracking progress).
• Improve guidance and reduce confusion for students.
• Maintain reliability and security.

Where your data is stored

By default, the portal may store progress locally in your browser (localStorage). If you enable a database (such as Supabase or Postgres), your data may be stored securely on that service.

Third-party services

If the portal shows job postings sourced from public APIs (e.g., USAJOBS), those listings remain owned by their respective publishers. We may link out to official postings for confirmation.

Your choices

• You can clear your local portal data by using "Reset demo data" (if available) or clearing browser data.
• You can stop using the portal at any time.
